Pali Ke Kua 117 [1]
Great location and view
Reviewed on 2025-04-05 by , Houston, TX United StatesExcellent location and beautiful view of Na Pali Coast. Our unit was nice but two things need attention. The toilet flush handle is difficult to use and we could not stay in the unit between 2:00 pm and 5pm the first week of April as the rooms became too warm and needed air conditioning. Fans are provided and there are also ceiling fans but that was not enough.
Inexcusable condition of condo
Reviewed on 2024-11-20 by James C. , United StatesWe were told that this condo was not well maintained, however we were not told that it was not even clean or functional. We spent the first hour scrubbing the kitchen cabinet doors just to be hygienic enough to use. The washer was 5” out in the bathroom, making it very difficult for my wife to pass with her walker. There was sand on the floor in front of the washer and under the hinges on the cover. The walls were broken, metal flashing rusted, and showing damage from flooding. The carpet was cheap and poorly installed. The outside furniture was painted whit, even over the plastic webbing. All very inexcusable for such a beautiful location.
Find another place to rent
Reviewed on 2023-11-14 by Ed B. , United StatesPali Ke Kua 117 is a dump. The view is beautiful but the condo needs serious upgrading and at least paint the place and clean the stained carpet. I picked this unit because of the view and had no idea that I would be walking in to a unit that seems to be never taken care of. I wish the Oceanfront Realty would have suggested another condo since I have done business with them many years ago when they managed my townhouse in Princeville Kauai. I was told that the owners knew that they needed to upgrade the place but couldn't do it right now. So they were happy renting it to unsuspecting clients and Oceanfront Realty was OK with that. If you can't afford the upkeep then sell it.Can't imagine what kind of a swamp the owners live in.
Multiple things need to be addressed
Reviewed on 2023-04-21 by Cheri G. , Irvine, NA UnknownBeautiful location. Great well maintained condo complex. But the unit was very dated and had several problems. Carpeting very uncomfortable on bare feet and stained in some places. The bed in the living room extremely uncomfortable and not suitable for anyone over 5’5”. It was also dirty in the bed frame under the mattress. Screen door on the sliding patio door was ripped at the bottom letting in a lot of bugs. It also would not slide properly. Other window screens bent and ripped. The microwave door felt greasy. Old house musty odor. It was obvious there was no pride in ownership or in the product that is being offered to the public. A little repair and updating would go a long way to making this a great pkace

A dissapointment
Reviewed on 2022-12-11 by Kenneth K. , Seattle, WA United StatesWe have stayed in three other units at Pali Ke Kua. #117 compares unfavorably to the others. It is overdue for refurbishment. The furniture and countertops need to be replaced. The unit needs to be repainted. Kitchenware was poorly stocked. I would not rent this unit again.
PKK 117 needs to be updated badly
Reviewed on 2022-11-06 by Sam & Robin H. , Irvine, NA UnknownI’m sure your company doesn’t own this unit (at least I really hope not) and I think you really need to encourage the owners to take the unit from the 1980’s to the 2020’s. Both the appliances, (other than the microwave) and the furniture are extremely out dated. As well, there were burn marks on carpet in several places as well as burn marks on the 80’s Formica counter top. The place wasn’t cleaned well, I picked up several cockroaches and there is Duct Tape on the screens for the sliders out to the Lanai. Also, you should know that the check in / guest book has completely out dated information in it specifically but not limited to the WI-FI information.
Hopefully this is helpful.

Hi guys, my wife and I have been coming to N. S. Kauai for over 20 years and we have stayed in PKK probably 15 times. We know the area well and love the PKK complex. Unfortunately this was the worst unit we have ever stayed in by a mile. <br/>I’m sure your company doesn’t own this unit (at least I really hope not) and I think you really need to encourage the owners to take the unit from the 1980’s to the 2020’s. My stay at 5300 Pali Ke Kua 117
Reviewed on 2022-07-26 by Adrienne B. , Walnut Creek, CA USAs soon as we walked into the condo a wave of hot air hit us. Please ensure that either fans or a portable ac is available for people like us from a dry area have AC. It was a shock at first but after two cold showers we acclimated on the third day. There is a window in the shower that is missing and at night anyone can walk by and see through the window. We had to cover it up with stuff to block the view in. Please get that fixed. The paintings on the wall are very bland and have no color, put up some colorful sea horses and starfish. the out side was too beautiful to come into a bland wall. The couch was sticky so I had to use my silk sheets to put over the couch to enjoy sitting on it. the furniture is very old at lease replace the kitchen table make it a little more modern. It was very difficult for any one sitting on the inside seats to get out at dinner time. Everyone had to move out of the way so someone could leave the table. In the bathroom behind the faucet its filthy white scum thick and messy. I poured hydrogen peroxide to loosing it up someone needs a toothbrush to clean it. I sent an email to the property management about the AC they never told me it did not have one on the website and they did not email me back in 10 days that I was there.
Fantastic view - but unit is just OK
Reviewed on 2022-06-13 by , JUPITER, FL USWhen you open the drapes and sliding doors you are treated to one of the best views in the world, the Na Pali coast line and Hanalei bay. The unit itself was clean but had older carpet and drapes from the 80's and minimal appealing decorations or furniture. But its really all about the view...

Awesome location!
Reviewed on 2021-06-23 by Luke H. , Port Neches, TX USThe back patio has a spectacular view. The close access to Hideaway Beach is awesome as well. The condo itself is fine. It was a little warm at times without AC but we managed with the vents and back patio sunscreen. The condo above was a little noisy at times as well. There are rules for quiet hours in place, sometimes they just get broken (e.g. washing machine above ran after 10pm). Both issues were minor though and overall our stay was awesome. Check in/out process was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again!
