Great stay!
Reviewed on 2024-09-11 by , Durham, NC United StatesFor anyone looking to stay on the north shore in a private home like this, you must be the kind of person who wants this kind of accomodation. Eg, no AC (plenty of fans, but it can get warm), you share your space with adorable creatures like geckos, and there aren't restaurants or stores within walking distance. The stars we could see from the decks were just amazing.
If I had to make one recommendation, it would be to have a more detailed list of amenities. Eg, we didn't know the laundry machines were HI, they had an espresso machine we would have totally bought beans for if we had known, there were 4 beach chairs, a cooler, beach umbrella, and beach towels. Kitchen was really well stocked as were the bathrooms! So just more specific info on each property could be useful. We hope to come back soon!
We had an amazing stay on the north shore in the Hale Oli house. Originally we found the house on Airbnb, but when we saw that Oceanfront Realty managed the rental, we decided to rent directly with them, which made things even smoother. They were quick to answer any questions/enquires we had, the app they use makes communication even easier, and they also offer tips for local activities during your stay.

For anyone looking to stay on the north shore in a private home like this, you must be the kind of person who wants this kind of accomodation. Honeymoon hideout (sort of)
Reviewed on 2023-08-01 by , boulder, CO USThis is a nice place in a nice spot. We did enjoy our time there. The kitchen and amenities were nice, clean, and well maintained. I will note that we were disappointed to find that the house is not as private as the listing/photos lead one to believe. We choose this as it seemed very private. To our surprise, there was a large family living in a yurt right behind the house, and very close to the bedrooms (not exactly private for a honeymoon). They were not inordinately loud other than comings and goings, but it would be nice to know up front and that would have influenced our choice. We weren't overly upset, as what's Kauai without roosters and a family in yurt in the back yard? But...
Fantastic Stay
Reviewed on 2023-07-12 by Dylan P. , Annapolis, MD USWe had a wonderful vacation staying here for a week. The house was clean, well stocked, and clean. The location couldn’t be better. Our daughters loved saying hi everyday to our friend, Shotgun, in the field next door. The view is amazing from the lanai and the beach is a walk away. Thank you for the beach chairs! A generous touch. We will definitely be back!

Kauai Bliss
Reviewed on 2022-04-05 by Nicolaus G. , San Mateo, CA USExcellent communication with property management and incredibly easy check in and check-out procedure. This place felt like our home away from home.
The nights were incredibly quiet and serene. We loved the daytime views and the ability to pet the local friendly horse and donkey.
House is located in a quiet neighborhood, about 10-15 min west of Hanalei Bay, where we enjoyed daily surfing and swimming (beginner-intermediate surfing). There were also a couple of child/infant friendly beaches in between the house and Hanalei Bay.
Highly recommend. We will return!
We absolutely loved our 2 week stay in Kauai. The house was absolutely perfect. We had our infant son with us and the house was safe and spacious for him to crawl around.
Excellent communication with property management and incredibly easy check in and check-out procedure.
